Chicago + Destination Weddings

About me

hi, i'm filzah!

Chicago is home and my first love, but I’m always ready for an excuse to grab my passport and explore somewhere new!

For over five years, I’ve gotten to photograph unforgettable wedding days in some incredible places along the way. I’m a hopeless romantic at heart, so getting a front-row seat to your love stories will never get old.

It's probably just my affinity for spreadsheets paired with a degree in film (which really developed my appreciation for visual storytelling), but I truly believe the best wedding photography is equal parts creativity and preparation.

So I’ll make sure to keep things moving, help the day stay on track when needed, and quietly anticipate what’s coming next so you don’t have to. More than anything, I’m passionate about giving you something tangible to hold onto from a day that goes by way too fast - preserving the feeling of it so it lives on forever.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me planning my next trip, listening to Taylor Swift on repeat, or searching across the city for my next favorite iced latte.

My Style

For me, photography is less about staging perfection and more about celebrating your story with honesty and style.

It's about the champagne toast that went slightly awry, the way your dress caught the wind just right, or the laughter and cheers that took over the dance floor.

Every moment is captured with care and intention, from the smallest glances to the most refined portraits.

That approach naturally blends documentary storytelling with editorial flair, and carries through every stage of the process - from the first shutter click to each carefully edited image. Rather than following editing trends, I focus on creating images you'll still love decades from now.

The result is natural skin tones and true-to-color imagery that balances your Pinterest inspiration with real life.

Beautiful photos draw you in, but it's the feeling behind them that stays with you.

about you

ELEGANT, JOYFUL, TRAVEL-OBSESSED

*You want to spend as much time on the dance floor as possible.

*You're stylish but easy-going.

*You want your wedding day to not just be about you but also the  people  who made you who you are.

*You're looking for hand-edited images that aren't overdone or so heavily colored they don't match your memories.

*You might feel a little nervous about being in front of the camera but want beautiful, joyful images that feel true to you and your day.
